The Commission scolaire des Grandes-Seigneuries (CSDGS) is a public organization whose mission is to organize quality educational services for students, young people and adults, under its jurisdiction and to ensure their academic and social success. Located on the South Shore of Montreal, the CSDGS serves the school clientele of the Roussillon RCM and the Jardins-de-Napierville RCM.
The Commission scolaire des Grandes-Seigneuries (CSDGS) is the result of the union of two other school boards. His story leads us in 1998.
That year, Quebec was divided into French and English school board territories (Decree 1014-97). The Châteauguay School Board and the Goéland School Board were merged, creating the CSDGS. In addition, the territory of the municipality of Sainte-Clotilde and Sainte-Clotilde primary school were integrated into the CSDGS at the same time. Both were part of the Moissons School Board until 1998.
