The Community Development Association CDA is a registered non-profit, non-political, local non-government humanitarian organization, established in Myanmar and incorporated under the laws of Myanmar, has a mandate to implement community developmental elementary interventions with effective involvement of existing support services and technical assistance. The Community Development Association has worked on various humanitarian assistance programs with funds contributed by various UN Agencies and INGOs in cooperation with Department of Social Welfare, Department of Health and with various government directed local NGOs.
The purpose of the Community Development Association (CDA) is to utilize community capacities to implement basic community developmental interventions through effective involvement of existing support services and technical assistance, and to promote sustainable community capacity building, mobilization, participation and contribution. The CDA has a deep interest in participating in the arena of social mobilization and community developmental work and has undertaken challenges in community development activities wherever and whenever demand and feasibility is favourable, including clean water supply, community health promotions, harm reduction and HIV preventions.
