Companhia de Saneamento de Sergipe (DESO)
Deso is driven by the challenge of ensuring the common good of the population through the operation of basic sanitation. We are a mixed economy company created on August 25, 1969, responsible for studies, projects and execution of water supply, sewage and sanitation works. Our main shareholder is the Sergipe State Government, which holds 99% of the total shares.
Deso's preferred market is the state of Sergipe, where we own 71 of the 75 municipal headquarters. Only the municipalities of Carmópolis, besides the headquarters of São Cristóvão, Capela and Estância are not part of the area operated by the company. The services are exploited through concession agreements signed with each of the municipalities. Our work is based on a strategy focused on supporting the human development of residential, commercial, industrial and public sector customers.
The readiness for improved water supply and depletion in the state is primarily a commitment to the health and dignity of the approximately 1.8 million people served. The initiative to take care of society gains strength with the actions of preservation of the environment. By protecting the forests that border the springs and implementing environmental education activities with the communities, Deso helps to conserve the future of the generations. After all, we work for the regularity, expansion and quality of one essential resource: water.
