Companhia Riograndense de Saneamento was created on December 21, 1965 and officially installed on March 28, 1966, which is the official date of its foundation. The challenge of providing Rio Grande do Sul and its population with a better quality of life was faced by the company that emerged. And the image of the waterhole, which precariously supplied the populations at the beginning of the century, was definitely in history.
Currently, Corsan supplies about 6 million gauchos. This represents 2/3 of the state's population, distributed in 316 municipalities.

Vision 2016-2019
In 2019, maintain the universalization of water coverage and serve 30% of the urban population by using the sewage system in a sustainable manner and with the guarantee of customer satisfaction.

In 2030, to be recognized for the universalization of water supply services, to serve 70% of the urban population using the sewage system, for the excellence of its services and products and for the consolidation of new businesses.
