About

Compassion is one of the world's leading child development and child advocacy organisations.

Their approach is a personal one. Working with the local church, they link a child living in poverty with a loving sponsor, like you. Each sponsor gives their child access to education, health checks and the care of a local church-based Compassion project. There's no quick fix to global poverty, but through their programmes, children's lives are being changed. We're impacting families, communities and whole nations.

CHILD-FOCUSED

Children are most vulnerable to the effects of poverty. Everything they do is about ensuring the children in their care are known and loved.

CHRIST-CENTRED

Through their projects, they demonstrate the love and hope of Christ in a relevant and sensitive ways.

CHURCH-BASED

They partner with churches in 25 of the world’s poorest countries. These churches are able to meet the specific needs of their communities.

Their  VALUES

Because they're committed to the church, they value integrity, excellence, stewardship and dignity.

HELPING CHILDREN ESCAPE POVERTY

They're passionate about giving children the opportunity to escape from poverty and live life to the full! In partnership with local churches across the world, they meet children's complete needs within the context of their local communities.

CHILD SURVIVAL PROGRAMME

Rescuing, nurturing and discipling little ones.

They reach the most vulnerable children even before they have been born.

They provide antenatal care for vulnerable mothers, ensure children are vaccinated against deadly diseases and give mothers the skills they need to earn a living. In partnership with local churches, they give children the very best possible start in life.
