Congolese Fiber Optic Company (Societe Congolaise de Fibre Optique) (SOCOF)

SOCOF is a one-person limited company in which the Congolese State is the sole shareholder. It is governed by the Uniform Act revised on January 30, 2014 relating to the law of Commercial Companies and Economic Interest Grouping and by all other laws and regulations in force in the DRC, not contrary to OHADA law, as well as by its present statutes. OBJECT The purpose of the Company is to: Finance, build, own, manage, operate and maintain telecommunications infrastructure and / or equipment in the territory of the Democratic Republic of Congo Guarantee the shared use of telecommunications infrastructure and / or equipment in accordance with the principle of equality and free competition in the telecommunications markets; Guarantee open, transparent and non-discriminatory access to telecommunications infrastructure and / or equipment, in particular broadband capacities and other resources available on them, to any telecommunications network or service operator, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force.
