About

The Consejo Civil Mexicano para la Silvicultura Sostenible (A.C.)is a non-profit civil association formed by a group of people and civil society organizations that seek to contribute positively in the development of rural communities in the forest regions of Mexico.

Mission

Improve the living conditions and participation conditions of rural communities living in the forest regions through i) an effective incidence in the design and implementation of public policies so that these favor conditions for rural development and ii) the strengthening of community institutions and their territorial management initiatives.

Vision

The communities and ejidos have sufficient capacities to govern, protect and sustainably manage their territories, improve their quality of life, safeguard their culture, and ensure the conservation of their ecosystems. They also undertake fair and equitable relations with urban centers and cities that improve their income and allow them to have a dignified life and recognition within the regulatory framework as central actors in the sustainable management of forest landscapes.
