The Administrative Council for Economic Defense - Cade is a federal autarchy, linked to the Ministry of Justice, with headquarters and forum in the Federal District, which exercises, throughout the national territory, the attributions given by Law 12299/2011. 

Cade's mission is to ensure free competition in the market, and the entity is responsible, within the Executive Branch, for not only investigating and deciding on competitive matters, but also fostering and disseminating a culture of free competition
