Founded in 1994, Consulting Engineering Services has grown in size and reputation for some very simple reasons. They believe in offering their clients the most advanced energy efficient building solutions that fit their clients budgets, schedules and complexity. They believe that successful projects are the results of proactive service – in planning, on the job, and after.
The principals of the firm have worked together to develop a reputation for design excellence in education, healthcare, housing, mixed-use, research & development, corporate office, sports & recreation, hospitality, community and private estate projects. The CES staff of nearly 100 experienced professionals is divided into manageable teams, in 4 offices, that specialize in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering service for analysis, design, commissioning and construction administration for projects throughout the Northeast and beyond.
From their offices in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and sunny Florida, CES is able to provide all of their clients around the Country, seamless, timely and responsive engineering design services and solutions. The collaborative atmosphere and methods that thrive at CES, span across each office, with continuous open lines of communication between all offices, ensuring all of their clients are fully supported and receiving the best in design and customer service for each and every one of their projects.
Live
CES each year participates in the Salvation Army’s Architects/ Engineers Can Challenge. Since CES started participating in 2000, the firm has donated over 150,000 food items to support the local food pantry.
CES also is proud to sponsor amazing organizations such as the LUPUS foundation of Connecticut, the Middletown Police Department, and organizations our employees and their families are involved in such as sport teams, girl/boy scout troops, and charity walks.
Learn
Each summer, CES gladly and eagerly employs college students through internships. They understand and appreciate the hard work and dedication it takes to graduate with that engineering degree! They strive to educate and mentor each student through hands-on design and field experience with their Senior level staff, giving them a well-rounded understanding of what they do as design engineers and sending them off to their next semesters with more tools and excitement to help them earn their degrees.
Every October since 2006, CES has held a charity golf tournament, inviting our clients, vendors, and friends to join them for a fun day of golf, food, and prizes. Up until 2009, CES picked a local charity to donate our proceeds to. After the passing of George V. Keithan, Sr. (Father to George V. Keithan Jr, CEO of CES) CES created a scholarship fund in his honor. Each year, all proceeds from their golf tournament go into the scholarship fund and through an application processes, students from Xavier High School and Mercy High School who wish to pursue engineering degrees are awarded scholarships. To date, CES has provided scholarships to over a dozen students totaling over $80,000.
Play
During the summer months, CES participates in the AEC Industry Softball league. Their team gets together every Thursday night and participates in lighthearted, fun, softball against our clients and competitors.
CES also holds impromptu employee organized activities that have included Paint Nites, meeting up for some trampoline fun at one of the local indoor trampoline parks, motorcycle rides, ski trips, fishing trips, bar crawl for charity, and a company-wide scavenger hunt.
You need to love where you work and love what you do to perform at your best so they encourage everyone to work hard and have fun!
