Corporación Nariño Empresa y Futuro (Contactar) is a Colombian microfinance institution (MFI) that was established in 1995. It offers microcredit, savings accounts, financial education and basic dental services to its clients, the majority of which work in agricultural enterprises. As of December 2010, Contactar reported to the US-based nonprofit Microfinance Information Exchange (MIX) total assets of USD 24.5 million, gross loan portfolio of USD 23 million, return on assets of 9.24 percent, return on equity of 24.7 percent and approximately 31,800 active borrowers.
MISSION
To strengthen the productivity of urban and rural micro-entrepreneurs by bridging the benefits of financial services with activities that will help to reduce poverty and improve the quality of life for their participants.
VISION
The company hopes that by 2015 their efforts in Nariño and Putumayo will serve as the national model for all micro-finance activities, particularly those affecting the rural socioeconomic base.
