Historical review

The Agricultural Cooperative ALLIMA CACAO Ltda. ("Before" Central Association of Agricultural Producers of the Valley of Bajo Huallaga and Central Association of Agricultural Producers Allima Cacao) was founded on April 14, 2002 and is registered with item number 11003285, of the Registry of Legal Persons-Tarapoto Registry Office. It is a non-profit organization of small producers installed in the Bajo Huallaga area with 07 years of experience in the production and marketing of quality cocoa beans; conformed by native and mestizo ethnic groups distributed in 14 communities. It currently has 200 member producers (83% males and 17% females) who have as their goal the production of high quality cocoa, under national and international norms of responsible production with the environment.

Vision

By 2022 the Allima Cacao Agrarian Cooperative is sustainable, competitive and leader in Bajo Huallaga, managing to increase the productivity of the cocoa crop, through the use of agricultural technologies and postharvest, counting on local, national and international clients to improve the conditions of life of its associates and collaborators.

Mission

They are a social enterprise of cocoa producers that works for partners, their families and the community, providing quality services and products to satisfy their clients with a social base and production centers with standardized quality processes.

Scope of Action

They are located in the center of two natural protected areas (ACR Cordillera Escalera and PN Cordillera Azul), throughout the district of Chazuta (Chazuta, Aguano Muyuna, Ramón Castilla, Siambal, Chazuta, Chazuta Band, Tununtunumba, Santa Rosa, Llucanayacu, Canayo, Shilcayo, Tupac Amaru, Curiyacu and Callanaycu).
