COOMACOVALLE, is an organization of the solidarity sector that seeks to improve the quality and standard of living of its employees and the beneficiary population, through social programs and the revitalization of productive units that seek the restoration of rights and the construction of patterns of harmonious and peaceful coexistence that impact the individual in a personal, family, economic and social way.
COOMACOVALLE, in 2020 is projected as a national and international reference organization in the provision of service, production and marketing with quality and transparency, being a model in the solidarity economy proposal for its self sustainability, employment generation and teamwork.

Gloria Peña , Community Mother since 1992, was born and raised in Santiago de Cali; she has dedicated her life to the defense of the rights of children, young people and women in conditions of vulnerability. As a mother and wife, she finished high school and her desire to continue growing led her to study business administration with an emphasis on solidarity economy at Luis Amigo University; where he obtained his degree in 2008 and in 2012 he graduated as a technique in early childhood of the Seine. He has advanced different courses and seminars that have enhanced their skills in the social and community field.
In 2005, in the company of a group of Community Mothers and the ICBF, she obtained the legalization of the COOPERATIVE MULTIACTIVA DE MADRES COMUNITARIAS DEL VALLE DEL CAUCA - COOMACOVALLE , of which she is the Legal Representative and General Manager, having as object the restitution of the rights of the most vulnerable populations, counting on several productive units and currently having the management of the government programs of the "From zero to always" strategy of the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare - ICBF, with more than 870 people hired directly and more than 300 people indirectly.
This great joint effort has made it possible to serve more than 8,500 beneficiaries among children, pregnant women, infants and families. The Secretary of Territorial Development and Social Welfare and the Organizations of the Municipal Women's Bureau have given him recognition for their work.
In 2016 she was elected as Woman Cafam del Valle del Cauca and National candidate to receive this important award, in the same year she received from the Mayor's Office of Santiago de Cali a recognition of her career and achievements in her tireless struggle for good of the community.
