The Consortium of Private Organizations for the Promotion of Small and Microenterprise Development - COPEME is a non-profit civil association, made up of 38 NGOs in the country.
It was founded in 1990 as a second-tier entity that promotes opportunities and capacity development, targeting the regions and involving trade associations, local and regional governments. The Institution promotes the efforts of its associates in order to take advantage of the synergetic effect that allows obtaining better results and impact in the micro and small business sector.
The General Assembly of Associates, is the maximum instance of COPEME, then there is a Board of Directors of up to seven elected members of the associated institutions, a general management in charge of executing the policies established by the Board of Directors, the specialized commissions and the regional subsidiaries .
They are a network of institutions involved with the development of the MYPE in Peru with the objective of strengthening microfinance institutions, services, business development and public agencies to promote the MYPE through innovative projects, public advocacy and quality services.
They aim to be a recognized local and international organization, characterized by the quality of our services, innovation, gender focus and capacity for advocacy. Coordinate and cooperate with the public and private sectors to achieve greater financial inclusion, equal opportunities in the regions and environmental sustainability.
