Copyright Agency
About

The Copyright Agency is an Australian not-for-profit organisation that has been standing up for creators for more than 40 years. They enable the reuse of copyright-protected words and images in return for fair payment to creators.

Their vision is for a world that encourages and supports creativity, communication and learning.

Their mission is to provide simple ways for people to reproduce, store and share words, images and other creative content, in return for fair payment to creators. They are committed to encouraging the development of lively and diverse markets for published works with their range of commercial licences and through their Cultural Fund.

Values:

  • Integrity: They are real people who believe in what they stand for and can be trusted to do as they say.
  • Creativity: They appreciate the time and unique skill that goes into making original works and how these works entertain, educate and inspire a rich and diverse Australian culture. They stand up for creators’ rights.
  • Responsiveness: They are flexible and adapt to change. They listen to others and are quick to respond.
  • Transparency: They are open and honest in all their dealings and will take responsibility for what they do. They work hard to build and foster good relationships.
