The Coral Triangle Center (CTC) is a foundation based in Indonesia that trains marine resource managers and educates all groups that interact with coastlines and reefs within the Coral Triangle.
CTC has trained more than 2,500 people in its twelve years of service since 2000 as part of The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and recently as an independent organization CTC (2011) continues to enhance local capacity on the ground for marine conservation.
Since becoming an independent institution, CTC has trained more than 1,000 conservation practitioners across the coral triangle (2011-2013).
The CTC provides training and learning programs;supports marine-protected areas; coordinates a learning network for MPA practitioners; connects the public and private sector on coastal issues; and is developing a center of excellence in marine conservation focused on the Coral Triangle.
