Founded in 1958, Cowan Construction Company stands out in the heavy construction sector for its diligent execution of several projects: construction of highways and railways, sanitation works, gas pipelines, subways, dams, hydro-electric power plants, airports, bus lanes and industrial facilities.

With experience in the management and implementation of those projects, and awareness of market trends, Cowan Construction Company started to actively pursue opportunities in privatization programs and public service concessions in the 1990s. Beginning in the year of 2000, new areas of activity were added: Oil and Gas, Mining and Real-Estate Development. This is how the Cowan Group was born.
