Since its creation, Crédit Agricole du Maroc has been committed to agriculture and socio-economic development in rural areas. Working in coordination with the public authorities, its objective is to promote agricultural activities and stabilize rural populations by improving their standard of living over the long term.
The missions of Crédit Agricole du Maroc are broken down as follows:
-finance agriculture and rural economic and social development activities in order to:
-to facilitate farmers' access to modern and profitable forms of exploitation;
-mobilize national savings for rural development;
-develop the banking of farmers and rural people through the provision of adapted financial services;
-support the creation of agricultural businesses by improving their access to credit;
-promote advice and expertise for farmers to increase production;
-enhance agricultural production through agro-industrial integration and marketing;
-support the social economy of production and services in rural areas.
-to ensure on behalf of the State the public service missions for the following operations:
small and medium farm financing grants. (These subsidies may be extended to large farms in cases fixed by regulation);
-Subsidies needed to reschedule loans to farmers when exceptional circumstances warrant;
-any operation, aid, bonus or interest rate subsidy decided by the State.
-carry out all universal banking transactions, in accordance with the regulations in force concerning the exercise of the activity of credit institutions and their control.
