The Public Transport Company Iași SA (in short, CTP Iaşi) is the local public transport operator of the city of Iaşi, having as sole shareholder the municipality of Iași. They started their activity on October 1, 2016, taking over the duties of the previous operator (Autonomous Public Transport Authority), and they serve with a total of approximately 300 vehicles (trams, buses and minibuses) a network of 29 routes totaling approx. 520 kilometers.

Mission and vision

They want to develop public transport in Iasi as a modern, civilized and sustainable service, always having the following priorities on their agenda:

• implementation of the transport program approved by the municipality;
• improving the public image and communication of the company with the beneficiaries of their activities;
• the acquisition of efficient means of transport and their proper maintenance;
• modernization and maintenance of public transport infrastructure (tramway, contact network, recovery stations and underground power supply cables of the contact network, urban furniture for passengers);
• traffic dispatching through modern monitoring systems;
• modernization and flexibility of the taxation system;
• developing the necessary infrastructure for accurate passenger information;
• initiating or accessing programs designed to achieve the mentioned objectives.
