The Dalla Lana School of Public Health (DLSPH) is a leader in public health, population health and health promotion.
The DLSPH has one of the largest concentrations of academic population and public health researchers in Canada and is responsible for more than $30 million in research funding each year.
Committed to advancing the health of individuals and populations, the School is making significant contributions in areas such as: chronic disease, infectious disease and genetic epidemiology; public health policy; social determinants of health and social epidemiology; global health; addictions; methodological research; and occupational and environmental health.
GLOBAL HEALTH DIVISION - STRATEGIC INITIATIVES (GHD-SI)
The Global Health Division - Strategic Initiatives(GHD-SI) at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health (DLSPH), University of Toronto (UofT), is relied upon by the School and university community of students, academic and administrative leadership to:
1. Identify, support and advance global health initiatives, research and education from the Global Health Division, Dalla Lana School of Public Health (DLSPH) with colleagues and students from across the University of Toronto;
2. Strengthen relevant collaborations with stakeholders external to the DLSPH.
3. Define the School's contribution to overall global health agenda within the University, local and international global health communities.
4. Create innovative global health education and outreach initiatives in partnership with UofT global health community;
5. Act as bridge between University of Toronto global health practitioners to global health educators and researchers;
6. Advance a culture of global citizenship and social responsibility while supporting University of Toronto global health educators, research scientists and students.
