DFM was established in 1985 and is now 100% owned by DTU (Technical University of Denmark).
DFM provides critical infrastructure to the Danish industry by providing traceability at the highest possible international level within metrology.
DFM is designated to be the Danish national metrological institute (NMI) and has an obligation to conduct fundamental research within metrology and is at the same time, as a GTS (Advanced Technology Group), obliged to knowledge share and make sure that the knowledge obtained from national and international projects, when all comes to all, benefits the industry.
DFM is DANAK accredited and ISO certified.
