About

Objective and Purpose of the Mission

The mission aims to reduce poverty and vulnerability among urban poor households by enabling access to gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, leading to a sustainable improvement in their livelihoods. This will be achieved through the establishment of strong grassroots-level institutions for the poor. The mission's key objectives include:

  1. Providing Shelters for the Urban Homeless: The mission will aim to provide shelters equipped with essential services to the urban homeless in a phased manner.
  2. Addressing Livelihood Concerns of Urban Street Vendors: The mission will support urban street vendors by facilitating access to suitable spaces, institutional credit, social security, and skills training, enabling them to take advantage of emerging market opportunities.

Through these initiatives, the mission seeks to create a substantial and lasting impact on the lives of urban poor households, promoting economic stability and self-sufficiency.
