On the day of the beginning of the work of the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia, the Republic Fund for Development and Restructuring of the Economy, the Republic Fund for Encouraging Faster Development of Economically Underdeveloped Areas, the Fund for Encouraging Development of SAP Kosovo in order to stop emigration and return of Serbs and Montenegrins to Kosovo for encouraging faster development of economically underdeveloped municipalities of SAP Kosovo, the Provincial Fund for Encouraging Faster Development of Economically Underdeveloped Areas in SAP Vojvodina and the Provincial Fund for Economic Development in SAP Vojvodina. The Development Fund is one of the oldest institutions in the Republic of Serbia, which has decades of experience in cooperation with the economy.

Since its establishment on April 15, 1992, the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia has focused its activities on encouraging the business of legal entities and entrepreneurs in the Republic of Serbia.

The business priorities are to encourage balanced regional development, including the development of underdeveloped areas, to encourage the competitiveness and liquidity of the economy of the Republic of Serbia, to encourage employment, as well as to encourage the production of goods intended for export.

The mission of the Fund is to be a reliable partner of the Serbian economy, to contribute to its growth and development, with the goal of sustainable and balanced development of all parts of the Republic of Serbia.

They do not measure their success by the achieved profit, but by the achieved benefit for the social community, to which we ourselves belong. For them, the success is the realization of their clients' projects, the survival of their start-up companies, those who found work thanks to their support, the success of their clients in foreign markets.

The headquarters of the Development Fund is in Nis, while the branch is located in Belgrade. The Fund may have branches in other cities, as decided by the Board of Directors.
