Dignity Network Canada is a group of civil society organizations across Canada involved in supporting the human rights of people regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression and sex characteristics (SOGIESC) globally. The Network is governed by a Board of Directors and has a number of working groups to advance their collective work.
Dignity Network Canada is a network of over 40 organizations interested in Canada's support of human rights for people regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression or sex characteristics (SOGIESC). They bring organizations and people together to advocate, share information, develop policy recommendations and create community. They are governed by a national volunteer Board of Directors and also have a Global Advisory Board of activists and leaders from around the world.
WHAT THEY DO
HOW THEY WORK
A number of membership-based Working Groups have been set up as determined by interest of participating members.
They may set up other Working Groups in the future. Working Groups develop their own goals, membership and agendas.
WHAT THEY BELIEVE: Their network believes that Canada and Canadians play a role in the world around supporting movements involved in the advancement of human rights of LGBTIQ people worldwide. Their vision is a world where LGBTIQ people everywhere enjoy full human rights and socio-economic well-being.
