VISION

The formulation of the Vision of the Ministry of Home Affairs is aimed at achieving the conditions to be realized in the future related to the implementation of its duties and functions in the field of domestic administration. The vision of the Ministry of Home Affairs is determined based on the mandate for the position of the Minister of Home Affairs for its main duties and functions by taking into account the vision, mission and policy directions of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia for the next five years, as well as objective conditions and dynamics of the strategic environment, sustainability of development policies and demands for change. to realize more ideal conditions related to the scope of work of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Based on these considerations, the Vision of the Ministry of Home Affairs has been established, namely: 

"The Ministry of Home Affairs is Able to Become an Axis of Governance and Domestic Politics, Improving Public Services, Upholding Democracy and Maintaining National Integration"

The vision of the Ministry of Home Affairs is a firm commitment, attitude and direction to take a leading role in the realization of national development goals, especially in terms of its duties and functions in the field of domestic affairs. To realize this Vision, the Ministry of Home Affairs is supported by all work units which consistently and responsibly must work together to realize the intended Vision.

MISSION

To realize the Vision that has been formulated, the Mission of the Ministry of Home Affairs is determined, namely:

• Strengthening national ideology and insight by strengthening the practice of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, diversity, upholding unity and oneness, democratization, and building national character and domestic stability;
• Realizing the effectiveness of the implementation of general government tasks through harmonization of central-regional relations, creating peace and public order, as well as increasing the utilization of population administration;
• Realizing the effectiveness of the implementation of decentralization and regional autonomy through increasing capacity in carrying out government affairs and supported by accountable and pro-people management of the budget and finances;
• Encouraging the realization of harmony and justice in development between regions and regions through development from the periphery by strengthening regions and villages as well as borders;
• Realizing good, clean and effective governance supported by competent apparatus and effective oversight in the context of consolidating public services.

The intended Mission Formulation is a further elaboration of the 2015-2019 RPJMN policy directions and laws and regulations, related government policy directions that need to be carried out and/or followed up by the Ministry of Home Affairs according to its duties and functions.
