Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) helps where medical care has broken down. In the event of natural disasters, armed conflicts and refugee camps, our teams are often the first to provide emergency medical care - regardless of the ethnic origin or the political and religious beliefs of the patients. MSF is neutral and impartial and works without bureaucratic constraints. In order to maintain this independence, the organization's funding is largely based on private donations
MSF provides emergency medical aid in countries where health care has broken down or where populations are under-served. Although MSF primarily works medically, they also provide clean drinking water, shelter, general aid or food when people need it to survive.
