East Africa University (EAU) is one of the leading higher education institution in Somalia and Puntland’s first and largest university. EAU was established in 1999 with one main campus located in the heart of the business town of Puntland, Bosaso, Somalia.

The university since its inception in 1999 has undergone tremendous transformation in terms of geographical coverage, courses offered and management structure. East Africa University is the most full-fledged university for the northeastern regions of Somalia (known as Puntland State of Somalia) to fulfill the educational requirements of the society.

East Africa University was established to fill the gap of tertiary educational system in Puntland State of Somalia and enhance the development and vision of the population for the future development of the nation.
