Ecoland is a global association for the development of organic farming. Ecoland was founded in 1997 by Rudolf Bühler with 4 other farmers and the goal was to create an organic farming association, promote organic agriculture in terms of nature conservation and environmental protection, as well as the preservation of the cultural landscape and the strengthening of rural areas.

Ecoland spans over 1300 farming families with projects in Germany, Romania, Serbia and India.

 

The focus is on the cultivation and marketing of organic natural herbs which are reflected under the umbrella of "Seeds of Hope" the principles of ECOLAND.  Ecoland is involved in the environmentally-sound production of animal-meat, food grain, sugar beets, soybeans and other legumes.

Ecoland also sees itself as an advocate of the rights of indigenous peoples and respecting indigenous knowledge equal memory with scientific research.

 

Ecoland is committed to providing expert advice and assistance on the basis of EU directives and regulations. Major areas of work include consumer education, public relations and representation of agricultural interests in organic farming.
