Edesur Dominicana, SA is one of the three state-owned electricity distribution companies in the Dominican Republic.

It has the acquired right for the distribution and commercialization of electrical energy , within a geographical concession area of ​​17,473 km², in the southwest provinces of the country:

  • National District (from the west sidewalk of Máximo Gómez Avenue).
  • Azua
  • Bahoruco
  • Barahona
  • Elias Piña
  • Independence
  • Flints
  • Peravia
  • San Cristobal
  • San José de Ocoa
  • San Juan

Currently, according to data from May 2021, it distributes energy to a total of 881,830 customers ; of which 657,629 are Telemetered clients, with a representation of 74.58%.

Through 8,323 kilometers of medium voltage networks, it serves a total of 5,638 GWh/Year , supplying 98.4% of the energy demand in its concession area.
