EDUCARE, Liberia a non profit, non partisan, non governmental organization was founded in 2007 with one of its core operating principles being that of investing in people and their abilities to support themselves and their families as a key to long term national reduction in poverty.
To use the tools of human and economic capacity building to foster the emergence of a regenerated Liberian population empowered and equipped for a better livelihood.
They strive to operate by the following guiding principles.
Their programming approach is usually locally led/women led where the people involved in, and most affected work together to identify issues and create and enact their own solutions to prevent, reduce, and/or transform their communities with the support they desire from outsiders.
They believe context matters, and it’s this belief that drives their work. Local solutions are fundamental to solving local problems. By engaging directly at the local level, they put the power back in the hands of those working on the front lines of national development in their own local communities.
Communities are therefore supported through capacity building that may include organizational development, strategic communication, negotiation, effective advocacy, character & leadership skills as well as community development skills.
EDUCARE continues to seek innovative solutions and leverage available technology as much as is possible to ensure faster and bigger deliverables and return on investments.See more
