ERS is a national non-profit that partners with district, school, and state leaders to transform how they use resources—people, time, and money—so that every school prepares every child for tomorrow, no matter their race or income.
Their work integrates data analysis, design and implementation. They start with an analysis of existing strategy and resource allocation in school systems mapped against best practice. They then focus on five resource-intensive areas of the strategic system as illustrated.
ERS has partnered with more than 40 school systems since 2005, as well as several states. In all their work, they focus on the larger picture—how resources work together to create strategic systems that support strong schools. Their nonprofit status enables a different kind of partnership with districts and states: one where they participate in the transformation struggle, create insights together, and share lessons with others.
They are headquartered in Watertown, MA, just outside Boston, and their West Coast office is located in San Francisco.
