With almost 750 employees, Egis is continuing to develop in Brazil. Working from its numerous permanent locations in São Paulo, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte or São Luis, their firm develops projects for its clients in three areas of activity: consulting, engineering and operation.
In 2015, the Group ranked 13th in the table of Brazilian engineering firms (according to the list published by the Brazilian journal O Empreteiro in July). Egis aims to reach the top 10 by continuing to develop its service ranges in the fields of roads, urban transport, rail transport and aviation. It also aims to extend its Brazilian activities to include buildings, energy, wastewater treatment and urban mobility. Infrastructure development and modernisation are still high priorities in this country which spans some 8.5 million sq.km and boasts a population of 200 million.
At the end of 2015, their three Brazilian engineering firms Egis Lenc (roads, environment and geotechnical engineering), Egis Engenharia e Consultoria (railway and urban transport) and Egis Aeroservice (airport engineering and consulting) came together to pool their know-how and expertise within a single Egis entity. This new, clearer organisation of the Brazil pole will enables them not only to improve their competitiveness but also reinforce cohesion and synergies between all their employees in order to keep developing innovative solutions for their clients.See more
