Empower Pacific is committed to providing free and confidential, professional services to all those in need, regardless of age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, background, income, health status, or disability.
Empower Pacific helps men, women, children, teenagers, mothers, fathers, individuals, couples, families, communities, sex workers, people living with HIV (PLHIV), (former) prisoners, farmers, business owners, unemployed, homeless, mentally ill, those living with a disability, students, professionals, government departments, schools, health care workers, community groups, the marginalized, the sick, to anyone who requires a helping hand, to those looking for support to achieve their full potential.
How they do it
Empower Pacific works in a variety of settings, in collaboration with Government Departments to offer a network of professional counselling services when and where people need it most. By working in consultation with government, NGOs and community groups, Empower Pacific provides relevant psychological, social and economic services to peoples of Fiji and the Pacific. Empower Pacific’s approach to holistic service provision ensures that social work interventions, income generating initiatives, and commitment to upholding the MDGS ensures that their clients receive the type of service most appropriate to their needs.
Empower Pacific is a resourceful, pro-active, innovative, technical skills-based, learning organization seeking to deliver and promote good practice and high quality services. They are committed to partnerships to avoid duplication of services and to ensure their services adequately meet the human development goals of their Pacific Region, in the interests of Human Rights and gender equity. Where they do it
They have offices based in Suva, Lautoka, Nadi and Labasa in addition to Satellite Centers in Nausori and Valelevu. Their counsellors are located within all major hospitals in Fiji and wthey have counselling service centers based in Suva and the West. Their counsellors and social work teams offer community support to targeted areas of the Western Division, including counsellors who are able to be quickly mobilized to respond to natural disasters and crisis throughout the country.
They work with schools in the Western Division and our MOU with the Department of Social Welfare allowsthem to receive referrals Fiji-wide.
