The Sucre Local Potable Water and Sewerage Company (ELAPAS) was created on September 2, 1965 by Supreme Decree No. 7309, reorganizing on November 24, 1972 with DS 10601; modified its legal status on August 1, 1985 with DS 21021, from which it becomes a decentralized public company of the municipality of Sucre, with legal status, its own assets, operational and administrative management autonomy, under the guardianship and supervision of the GAMS. Its objective is to provide potable water and sanitary sewerage services to the population of Sucre.
ELAPAS , has an Operating License in the city of Sucre, granted by the Drinking Water and Basic Sanitation Authority (AAPS), signed with the Superintendency of Water of the Republic of Bolivia, former Superintendency of Basic Sanitation (SISAB), on date October 8, 1999.
In regulatory and control aspects, guardianship is exercised through the Ministry of Environment and Water, in the field of drinking water and sanitary sewerage services.
ELAPAS is legally domiciled in the city of Sucre, located in the Oropeza province of the Department of Chuquisaca.
