Since 1958, Enfants du Mekong has helped children in South Asia through 580 mentoring programs and over a hundred sustainable development programs. The organization has also sent 40 volunteers to the region in international solidarity.

We have sponsored 22,000 children and supported another 60,000 children in our seven countries of operation : Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Philippines, Cambodia, Burma and China.

DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

A development program is a local initiative to improve the lives of poor children in Southeast Asia.

Each year by sending volunteers on site, Enfants du Mekong performs an advisory role in the design of development programs and in monitoring their implementation.

 

HOMES AND TUTORING CENTERS

46% of restricted donations support young people in foster homes and extracurricular activities (human, academic and professional) ..

 

SUPPORT FOR EDUCATION

42% of restricted donations relate to construction and renovation of schools, as well as the purchase of furniture and school equipment.

 

ACCESS TO WATER, NUTRITION AND HEALTH

11% of restricted donations support the construction of wells, digging of ponds, hygiene training, building clinics and purchase of medicines.

 

SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

1% of donations are earmarked for agricultural training, construction of roads and bridges, local capacity building and implementation of policy forums.
