About

As a proven and powerful nonprofit, Enterprise improves communities and people’s lives by making well-designed homes affordable. They bring together nationwide know-how, partners, policy leadership and investment to multiply the impact of local affordable housing development.

Mission: To create opportunity for low- and moderate-income people through affordable housing in diverse, thriving communities. Over more than 30 years, Enterprise has created nearly 470,000 homes, invested $28.9 billion and touched millions of lives.

They make well-designed homes affordable and create communities where people thrive, with connections to resources like health care, schools, jobs and transportation.

Enterprise is the only housing organization in the U.S. with the expertise to multiply the impact for people and communities. They deliver the capital, develop the programs and advocate for the policies needed to create and preserve well-designed homes that people can afford in inclusive and connected communities.

Their talented staff bring agility and expertise in both the public and private sectors across a range of critical areas, and they are dedicated to improving and innovating housing solutions around the country. They developed the national standards for greener, healthier communities, and they're continuously researching and sharing key data and lessons learned with their partners so that affordable homes and resources are more effective – and families succeed.

They are guided by exemplary board members – leaders in the public, business and nonprofit sectors. In addition to their headquarters in the Mid-Atlantic, they have offices in markets nationwide, from New York to Los Angeles – as well as local, state and national partnerships.

At Enterprise, they bring together the right expertise and know-how to make well-designed homes affordable and change lives. Because they may have similar goals in life, but not the same opportunities – and where you live affects the life you can have.
