Established in January 2009 as an Egyptian shareholding company, the Environment and Development Group (EDG) is a consulting firm in Egypt, offering services in microfinance, small and microenterprise sector support, socioeconomic and market research, and the environment.
EDG's co-founders Mostafa Saleh and Randa Fahmy have more than 25 years of experience, and together with their core team of young in-house professionals, they provide a broad set of services in the design, planning, implementation, and monitoring of development projects in Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa. EDG’s in-house resources are further complemented by an advisory team of senior technical specialists who lead the firm’s social mapping work, economic profiling, impact assessments, communication, environmental management, microfinance product design and development.
