About

The EPAPSY was founded in 1988 with the initiative of Prof. Stelios Stylianidis and since then he has been continuously active in order to offer an alternative model of psychiatric care in the Community based on the principles of Social Psychiatry and Psychosocial Rehabilitation.

Particularly in recent years, with the assumption of the scientific and administrative responsibility of twenty-four total housing structures for psychosocial rehabilitation, two Mobile Mental Health Units in the Cyclades and two Day Centers, innovates by creating a network of services and professionals working for Social Psychiatry . The EPAPSY has supported the establishment and operation of a Social Cooperative of Limited Responsibility (KOISPE) in the 5th TOPSY of Attica, Their goal is to provide a model of integrated mental health care in the community.

The quality of care is ensured through interdisciplinary cooperation, the implementation of WHO guidelines, liaison with local services, local actors, users and families, fighting stigma and social exclusion, continuing education and training of professionals.
