Esplodenti Sabino was created in 1972 with the changeover from individual company founded by knight Sabino SALVATORE to a limited-liability company.

Initially production included gunpowder, dynamite and explosives for civilian use; the firm subsequently moved on to its first experiences in demilitarisation with small-calibre projectiles.

Currently all types of conventional munitions, aerial bombs, weapon systems, rockets, naval mines, etc., are demilitarised in full compliance with current legislation.

Some 95% of the materials recovered from demilitarisation are reutilised in the civilian field.  The firm's continuity is entrusted to a well-trained and experienced task force assisted by outside consultants who are experts in their relative fields.

The firm's current challenge is aimed at maintaining, revising and introducing modifications into complete weapon systems, all ensured by agreements with the main Italian and foreign firms in the sector.
