European Nuclear Safety Training and Tutoring (ENSTTI-EGEI)
About

Founded in 2010 by technical safety organizations (TSOs) that are members of the European Technical Safety Organizations Network (ETSON), ENSTTI transfers the knowledge and know-how of over 2,000 experts with operational responsibilities in a wide range of activities, from the assessment of nuclear power plant safety to the analysis of the effects of interventional radiology on health. ENSTTI’s ultimate goal is to provide initial training and continuous qualification programs to ensure that personnel at European Nuclear Regulatory Authorities and Technical Safety Organizations can maintain skills in their current positions and remain prepared to take on emerging tasks or advancements.

ENSTTI has earned recognition and backing from the European Commission and international organizations, starting with the IAEA. It is commissioned more and more to provide training and tutoring outside the European Union, under initiatives such as the EC’s Instrument for Nuclear Safety Cooperation. ENSTTI successfully adapts its approaches and organization to meet the specific needs of “newcomer” countries, for instance in Asia. In this spirit, the Institute seeks to foster closer ties with all other regional associations.
