CETMA, the European Research Center for Technologies, Design and Materials, is a Research and Technology Organization (RTO) based in Brindisi. For over 20 years, he has been involved in applied research, experimental development and technology transfer in the field of advanced materials (composites, polymers, bio-based and recycled materials), ICT(development of specialized software for innovative applications in engineering, production and services) and product development with external non-profit activity and reinvests all profits in research, training and technology transfer projects.
Founded in 1994, it is the result of a public-private partnership promoted by ENEA (National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development) with the aim of enhancing the technology transfer and innovation processes of the National Industrial System, in particular of the Southern Italy Regions.
Through the execution of research projects, CETMA generates new knowledge and enriches the skills and abilities of its personnel, thus favoring the growth and consolidation of highly qualified human capital in the territory. The knowledge generated with the research projects and the skills acquired by the staff are used to provide advanced services and contract research to companies and institutions to meet their needs and respond to their needs. And so, with its way of operating, CETMA implements a concrete technological transfer, as the knowledge produced by its technologists and researchers are used to solve innovation problems of its CUSTOMERS .
