In 2009 they launched the innovative and pioneering Radial Outflow Turbine technology and set new standards for the development of the 21st century ORC industry. 

Moved by an unresting passion to shape new solutions for unsatisfied market needs and with more than 20 years’ experience in the Power Industry they design, engineer, produce and maintain Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) systems for electricity production from renewable energy (geothermal, biomass, solar) and waste heat resources from industrial processes, gas turbines and engines.

Thanks to their core technology, EXERGY's ORC systems perform with greater efficiency and flexibility than traditional steam Rankine cycle systems, helping customers to invest in clean energy project with more profitable heat recovery solutions.

EXERGY was founded by Claudio Spadacini and in 2011 became a subsidiary of the Italian Maccaferri Industrial Group that backed our growth year on year allowing EXERGY to achieve an ORC fleet of 400 MWe worldwide in less than a decade. In 2019 EXERGY started a new course being acquired by China’s Nanjing TICA Thermal Technology Co. Ltd. With this new strategic alliance EXERGY is today able to offer the global market a vast and competitive range of clean-technologies and green power generation solutions.
