The Environmental Sanitation Company of the Federal District - Caesb is a mixed capital company, governed by the Brazilian Corporate Law, which may develop activities in the different fields of sanitation and any of its processes, with a view to economic exploitation, planning, designing, executing, expanding, remodeling, managing, operating and maintaining water supply systems; collection, treatment and disposal of sanitary sewage.

The Company has the competence to expropriate, vacate, recover, isolate, protect and conserve water preservation areas used or reserved for public supply purposes, as well as to control the pollution of its waters, including beyond the limits of its concession, in hypotheses in which it has contributed to this. The Company is also authorized to participate in multi-purpose ventures, aiming at the socio-economic progress of its areas of operation, and may constitute and / or subscribe capital of other companies, including subsidiaries, to consortium with other companies, pursuant to Law.
