Ferex Earthworks is a midsized, Alberta based, civil earthworks and environmental contractor. Their scope of work includes commercial and industrial construction, oil and gas lease construction and maintenance, as well as remediation and reclamation work.
At Ferex, their project goals are simple: To work closely with the client to ensure the project is completed on time, and on budget, with zero safety or environmental incidents. Management enjoys a hands-on approach to their projects, with open communication with site supervisors and project managers. Their approach minimizes operational risks that arise from miscommunication and confusion. The greatest benefit of their approach is when change orders are requires. They are able to process and sign off on these much quicker than competitors, sometimes in as little time as the few minutes it takes to send an email.
Commercial and industrial
With a strong background in commercial and industrial earthwork, they are able to schedule their scope of work to minimize disruptions to the project schedule and find efficiencies that maximize productivity on site. They have completed yard renovations on 1 and 2 acre sites, as well as complete earthwork and site services on new 10 acre parcels complete with 150,000sq foot pre-engineered buildings. With their equipment they are able to complete the exterior excavations and grading, but also use their smaller pieces to trench the shallow services on the interior.
Oil and gas projects
Within the oil and gas industry they are able to work closely with stakeholders so that time constraints and plan changes can be dealt with in a timely manner. From lease road and pad construction, to winter and summer maintenance, they work closely with their clients and exceed their expectations on every project.
Remediation and reclamation
With their team and equipment in place, they are able to complete these sensitive projects while following the regulatory guidelines. It is imperative to choose a contractor who can execute these projects while minimizing environmental liabilities. Choose a partner that understands the risks involved and has strict policies and procedures in place to mitigate those risks.
