On behalf of public and private investors and international finance institutions, they focus on developing and advising scalable and commercially sustainable investment funds with the primary goal of achieving a significant economic, social and environmental impact in emerging markets and developing countries. The expertise includes micro, small and medium enterprise finance, housing finance and energy efficiency and renewable energy finance. They focus on identifying, analyzing, and monitoring partner institutions or projects through the advised funds. Through high impact technical assistance, they further support the outreach and growth of the partner institutions and projects, manage risk, and promote responsible finance.
The team of investment professionals, led by recognized experts in the field of development finance and capital markets, has been closely involved with the success of the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE), one of the funds they advise. With committed capital of EUR 859 million (as at 30 September 2012), EFSE is one of the world’s largest microfinance investment funds.
In addition, they serve as investment advisor to the Green for Growth Fund, Southeast Europe (GGF) and Fund Manager of the SANAD Fund for micro, small and medium enterprises in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The company with more than 100 staff from over 25 nationalities has established a strong market presence in the regions of Southeast Europe, South Caucasus and Middle East and North African with ten regional offices in total.
