FINDETER which stands for Financial Corporation for the Territorial Development S.A (Financiera de Desarrollo Territorial S.A.). was founded in 1989, through the 57 Supreme Decree and is a Government owned Corporation, established with the exclusive participation of public entities, with Legal Status, autonomous administration and independent capital, submitted before the Nation´s industrial and commercial regulation system for public companies and linked to the Hacienda and Public Credit Ministry.
We are a Rediscount Banking Corporation, created by the National Government in order to finance investment initiatives which will contribute to the development of the community and promote the progress of the Country.
WHAT WE DO
- Discount credits to Public Territorial Entities, Decentralized Entities, Metropolitan Areas, Municipal Associations or entities listed on the 1333 Decree Law article 375 of 1986, in order to develop and execute projects related to those on the second(2) numeral, article 268 in the organic Statute of the Financial System;
- Receive Internal Savings through the issuance of tittles and subscription of other documents, make internal credit contracts, which will only require the approval of the general board of directors for its validity , without affecting what is provided in the subparagraph A. Article 270 in the organic statute of the Financial System;
- Receive deposits from public entities, on a fixed term or for immediate use, and recognize returns or special-compensations;
- Make foreign credit operations, folllowing the legal requirements and procedures established for external indebtedness, for the National decentralized entities;
- Manage directly the issuing of Securities and enter into the following type of contracts guaranties, agency, payment and trust fund.
- Make trust contracts in order to administrate resources transferred by other public entities with the purpose of financing the execution of special programs related to activities stated in the numeral 2 Paragraph 268, in the actual financial organic Statute.
- Rediscount credits from national public entities, private entities and autonomous patrimony, always that these resources are used for activities defined in paragraph 2 of Article 268 in the organic Statute of the Financial System and on projects related to environment ;
- Provide the following services: Technical assistance, Project structuring and Financial and Technical consultancy.
- Third party Portfolio Administration.
- Issue support and guarantees to entities supervised by the Financial Superintendence and others that the National government stipulates.
