Fudan University Institute for World Economy
The Institute of World Economy at Fudan University (FDIWE) was founded in 1964. In September 2000, after restructuring it became one of the 100 Key Research Bases of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences under the Ministry of Education. FDIWE focuses on major theoretical and practical issues in areas such as world economy, international economics, regional economics, trade, finance, energy issues and institutional structure in the world economy. FDIWE has been carrying out major state research projects and cultivating talents for foreign-related economic activities. Meanwhile, FDIWE also provides policy consultation and research reports for state and local governments, and offers advisory services to Chinese enterprises about participating in international competition and making international development strategies.
