Fundación Capital is a social enterprise which for 10 years has been working to improve the economic and financial lives of people living in social vulnerability around the world. Fundación Capital is an international development organization that imagines, creates and tests innovative ideas with the goal of eliminating poverty. They collaborate with both public and private partners to develop and implement new approaches that enable low-income families to grow, value and protect their financial assets. They do this through financial inclusion, capacity building and by promoting investment. In this effort, they support millions of families by providing resources in order to fulfill their ambitions and define their own paths out of poverty. 

How they do it?

• They work to improve and develop public policies that facilitate financial inclusion and social protection on a massive scale. 
• By facilitating the exchange of ideas and experiences among both public and private sectors, they are collaborating with critical players around the world in the fight against poverty.
• Most importantly, they must strive to understand the problems and needs of low-income families in order to create long-term and scalable solutions, not for them, but with them.

Approach

• Financial Inclusion - The focus is to support those excluded from the financial system by providing access to adequate financial services, with the goal of helping them out of extreme poverty or vulnerable situations.
• Economic Citizenship - They develop tools for low-income families to participate more fully in the economic system, which provides greater economic and social opportunities for empowerment.
• Digital Solutions - The Digital Solutions division uses the power of information and communication technology to help the poor access information, develop skills, and expand their resources.
• Post-conflict and territorial development - They encourage entrepreneurship, financial inclusion and the construction of assets as a means of strengthening vulnerable communities affected by conflict.
