About

The Leloir Institute Foundation (FIL) is dedicated to research and training young scientists. Our mission is to promote the highest standards of excellence both in the projects carried out in our laboratories and in teaching.

Created in 1947, under the name Instituto de Investigaciones Bioquímicas Fundación Campomar, it was directed by Dr. Luis Federico Leloir, Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1970.

Since then, for seven decades, we have led the production of knowledge in life sciences in Argentina, working in areas such as neurosciences, microbiology and infectious diseases, cancer, cellular, molecular and developmental biology, and plant biology.
