The National Foundation for Development (FUNDE) is an institution that conducts research, formulates socioeconomic policies, lobbies, and promotes development, with its target population being the most disadvantaged sectors of society.
FUNDE was created as a research and reflection center with the purpose of contributing to the economic and social transformations needed at the end of a long civil war and the beginning of a period of peace. Since its founding, FUNDE clearly defined the reach for these transformations: beneficial to the excluded, dispossessed, and vulnerable sectors of Salvadoran society.
