Fundebase was founded on October 24, 1995 and obtained its legal status on April 8, 1997, by Ministerial Agreement of the Government of Guatemala. It is constituted by demand of indigenous base groups and peasants mainly from the highlands. Organizational strengthening in matters of planning, project management, administration and evaluation were the first actions in support of community organizations.

Mission

They are a promoter organization that supports and accompanies initiatives of sustainable agriculture and food sovereignty, of economic and climatic justice, defense of the territory and natural resources whose subjects and political subjects participate in movements of social and structural change with equity and rights of the peoples towards the good living.

Vision

Being a solid and sustainable, supportive organization that efficiently accompanies rural development processes whose families and target groups affect locally, regionally and nationally in the construction of new societies and power relations.
